eKoPlayer is a media player for LG webOS televisions. It plays a playlist you already have — an M3U or M3U8 address, or an Xtream server — with a programme guide and catch-up. We are being honest about where the LG version is: the app is built and works, and it is on its way onto the television. Here is exactly where it stands, and what runs on your LG today.
The LG version is the same app as everywhere else. What it does not have yet is a lasting way onto the set: LG has no equivalent of Samsung's app code, and the developer route removes an app again after a couple of days.
So it takes the proper route — LG Content Store review, which has a queue we cannot put a date on. Ask us to tell you when it lands and we will, once.
An LG webOS set will happily drive anything you plug into its HDMI ports, and eKoPlayer is available on all of them now — no waiting.
