eKoPlayer is a media player for the Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube. It plays a playlist you already have — an M3U or M3U8 address, or an Xtream server — with a programme guide, catch-up and favourites, all driven from the Fire TV remote. It installs in a couple of minutes with a free Amazon app.
Search the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV for Downloader, by AFTVnews. It is free and in Amazon's own store.
Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps → turn on for Downloader. Fire OS asks this once.
